Call for submissions : issue 7

We are open for submission for issue seven : Apple, Seeds & Sapphire

 

As the Earth turns colder but our harvest boutiful, we know that Autumn is upon us. Winter is not quite here yet, but we must prepare for its inevitable arrival. Perhaps you shall find yourself bitting hard into an apple, this red or green fruit with seeds like stars. But be careful not to ingest too much cyanide, for even the tiniest seeds can lead to unexpected growth. As the nights get longer, sapphire coloured skies grace us with light to guide our way into the night.

PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES CAREFULLY - submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered. ​

We are looking for poets & artists!

For poets: 

You can send up to 3 pages of poetry. Files must be PDF file and the file's title must have your full name (example: John Snow poetry.pdf). Poems must be titled.

For Artists:

You can send up to 3 artworks. Each artwork must be titled. All mediums are allowed. In the body of your email, please detail the title of each work, the medium used, the size and the date of creation.

For All, in addition to your work:

Please title your email "full name, poetry or art submission issue 7" 

(example: John Snow poetry submission issue 7)

In your email, please give us a brief poet/artist description (for inspiration please look at our previous magazines), as well as a photo of yourself and any instagram/website you may have. If you do not have any social media, please tell us in your email.

Please do not send any follow up email. Every person who submits will get an answer, wether positive or negative after the deadline. Please do not submit to us twice for the same issue. No form of AI in any shape or form is tolerated. 

We do accept simultaneous submissions, but please notice us as soon as your work gets accepted elsewhere.

Payment:

As you may know, Atropos is a Magazine attached to E.Nath.Y Press, a small and independent Press, and is entirely self-funded. Thanks to the funds we have collected with the sales of Cycle One, as well as donations from readers who kindly wished to support Atropos, we are now able to pay a small amount per poem and artwork selected.

 

We will be able to pay 5 Euros per poem / artwork published going forward! (Whohoo!)

 

This was not possible for Cycle One, but we are very excited to be able to do so going forward.

 

We hope the amount will increase with time, but this is what we are able to do now, and it has been chosen with research and comparison with other small & indepently run magazines.
